Painting during the blizzard

I love the cozy feeling of being snowed in. During the last blizzard I celebrated the beautiful white landscape with a little snowy painting, anticipating what things would look like the day after when the sun appeared.

    Isn't amazing how a white landscape has so many colors in it. :-) Beautiful painting.

    Thanks, Dixie. And, yes, it is. Any opportunity to use King's Blue is a good day for me, and putting peachy oranges next to it is even better!

    This painting has a softness to it .....like the snow itself. Really like the contrast of light and darks all the while keeping it soft. Beautiful.
