An Island View

AN ISLAND VIEW from Stonington, Maine's Sand Beach. One of my all time favorite spots to paint every summer. I have set up for the day there and painted a series of the same group of rocks as the tide goes out or comes in. This is from that spot, but taking the long view.

Schoodic Mist

SCHOODIC!   Late last summer, I spent the day at Schoodic Point, Maine... the day before Hurricane Irene hit New England. It was very foggy, but still incredibly beautiful and awe-inspiring. The Point offers sweeping views of the Atlantic, crashing surf, and miles of granite ledge. For someone who loves to paint rocks...it just doesn't get any better.
